Medical Education for student tutors
In order to optimally prepare the approximately 90 student tutors at the MITZ for their teaching activities and the great responsibility this entails in university teaching, the MITZ has established the modularized tutor qualification program TutorMeDi together with the Institute for Didactics and Teaching Research in Medicine (IDL). After piloting the first modules in 2020, the program was expanded and consolidated in line with demand. The comprehensive qualification concept on which the program is based not only serves the didactic training of tutors and the associated quality assurance of university medical teaching, but is also intended to make a contribution to increasing the attractiveness of tutor work and recruiting young talent in teaching in the medium and long term.
The TutorMeDi introductory module "Fundamentals of medical didactics" can be found in OPAL (ZIH login required)
