Research Profile
The Research Group "Topological Materials" identifies, synthesizes and characterizes new candidate compounds with a non-trivial topology of their electronic spectra in the framework of various projects (SPP 1666, SFB 1143, ERANET-Chemistry "Topological Insulators under Pressure"). These endeavours are undertaken in close cooperation with theoreticians and experimental physicists on the national and international level, in particular Leibnitz-Institute of Solid State and Materials Research Dresden (IFW), the Institute of Experimental Physics of the University of Würzburg and the Tomsk State University. This collaborative research has brought more than 10 new topological materials into the spotlight by being published in many peer-reviewed journals (including 4 contributions in the Nature Publishing Group).
