Regular exercise isn't just beneficial for physical health: even gentle exercise contributes to mental well-being and reduces the risk of common illnesses. Dresden University Sports Center offers over 500 courses in 60 different types of sport. They also host active breaks on-campus in collaboration with the Occupational Health Services.

TUD prioritizes the mental health of its members, offering a range of counseling and health services. In this way, you can gain a better understanding of how to deal with stress and other kinds of pressure, and how to prevent mental illness. And there is also support for those who have been suffering with a mental health condition.

The Teaching Center for Well-Being and Movement, which TUD runs in collaboration with University Hospital Dresden, is the only project of its kind in Germany. Physiotherapy students complete some of their practical training there. This is also advantageous for TUD staff, who can benefit from a variety of treatments and exercise programs.

Sitting correctly is also something that needs to be trained! An ergonomic workstation can prevent many ailments associated with working at a desk. Adopting the correct sitting position and regular movement in between is just as important. The Occupational Health Services and the team at the Teaching Center for Well-Being and Movement are on hand to offer counseling.
