Move your horizon on June 5, 2024!
On June 5, 2024, our campus will be transformed into a place of vibrant cross-disciplinary dialogue – not just a day off, but a true vacation for body and mind!
Under the motto “Move your horizon”, the dies academicus, the DHSZ with its sports festival and the University Health Management with the Health Day have planned three exciting events that will inspire you and get you moving.
Health Day
The University Health Management would like to invite all students and employees to the Health Day at the Auditorium Center from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Join us for a day full of activities and information about exercise.
Look forward to a wide range of programs that will help you to boost your health and well-being. In various presentations, both on location at the HSZ and also accessible online, you will learn interesting facts about the importance of exercise for physical, mental and social health.
We also offer free health check-ups to assess your current health. And we can give you personalized recommendations for your future exercise activities. The Teaching Center for Physical Therapy will be inviting you to take part in various exercise courses, active breaks and individual screenings.
This year, the market of opportunities will take place in the Audimax and will feature a variety of interactive activities. For all bike enthusiasts, Verkehrswacht (a bike and road safety charity) is also offering bike marking to help protect your bikes from theft and increase road safety.
Use the Health Day to get information, swap ideas and get active! The Health Day at the Auditorium Center is an ideal platform for taking the first steps towards a healthier and more active life.
Look forward to a day full of exercise with a focus on your health and the health of others! The program and registration for the individual events will be available from May 16, 2024 at 12:00 noon.

dies academicus
Come and get a taste of campus life outside of your degree program at our academic festival, made by students for students. During this lecture-free day, you'll be able to see things you wouldn't normally see, meet people you wouldn't normally meet, and get a glimpse of university activities that too often remain in the background.
We bring together a large number of TU Dresden student groups, making it easy to get to know each other – we also offer a match maker to give you an initial overview and suggest student groups that match your interests! With the Crime Campus, we organize a puzzle hunt together with some Faculty Student Councils, so you can not only discover the campus but also get a playful insight into various departments while solving a criminal case. We also offer a free workshop program that caters to a wide range of interests – whether you're interested in politics, motivated by sports, or focused on the future, there's something for everyone. The event will be rounded off by a stage program, which will spotlight student bands, various university sports groups and talented students.
So what are you waiting for? Venture out beyond your subject area, experience the unknown and celebrate the diversity of our university with us at dies academicus! You can find further information on the dies academicus website.
DHSZ sports festival
The time is finally here again – on June 5, the DHSZ Sports Festival will enter its second round! In addition to a wide range of tournaments in various sports, this year you can put your strength and endurance to the test in our Campus Parcour, get the the German Sports Badge and compete in the Saxon University Championships over 5000 m. Traditionally, all night owls are invited to the Long Fitness Night with aerobics, yoga and dance starting at 7:00 pm. Numerous stands with healthy and refreshing snacks will provide for your physical well-being on this day. We cordially invite all students and staff of all Dresden universities as well as the wider public to our DHSZ Sports Festival. Participation is free of charge. You can find further information on the sports festival website.
