BIM-Conference at the CRC with partners from Saxony
CRC participates in the initiative BIM Competence Center Saxony
The Construction Research Center organized on 01.02.2019 a conference "BIM -Competencies of Educational Institutions in Saxony", which focused on the potential founding of the BIM.Cmpetence Center Saxony. The joint exchange of knowledge and information was attended by representatives of numerous educational and political institutions and companies who support with their expertise the saxony BIM initiative. These include the Saxony Chamber of Engineers, BuildingSmart, Dresden Chamber of Crafts, Construction Industry Association, TU Dresden, HTW Dresden, HTWK Leipzig, BA Glauchau, BA Plauen, EIPOS, AEC3, Muck Engineers, Nemetschek and Trimble Solutions.
The aim of the event was to discuss the concept of the BIM Competence Center Saxony together with the players from the fields of science, economics and politics that are active in the field of BIM, thereby to highlight the potential contribution of the university landscape in establishing the center and to strengthen the cooperation in the BIM area. Accordingly, the program of the event provided impulse lectures and a group work (workshop).
As a result of the event, there will be created a joint statement of the involved partners, which will be presented to the Prime Minister of Saxony.
