The Center introduces itself
The Construction Research Centre is an interdisciplinary scientific institution with a research and service provider role at the TU Dresden, which investigates current construction-related topics across disciplines.
The center was founded in 2016 by 17 institutes and professorships from the Faculties of Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Environmental Sciences and Economics. To carry out joint projects, it has in its disposal laboratory, hall and office space, which form a representative laboratory complex of the Center at the university campus.
Tasks of the Center
The central tasks of the Center are:
- Promotion of faculty and interdisciplinary interdisciplinary cooperation in the multidisciplinary field of construction research
- Bundling and joint use of the research facilities of the participating institutions
- Improvement of the structural conditions for an excellent construction research at the TU Dresden
- Quick transfer of research results into student courses and applications in construction practice
- Representing the interests of construction research at the TU Dresden by political bodies.
