For all intellectual property rights the PIC has special Inhouse data bases or entrance to the most important world-wide patent, trademark and design patent data bases.
The kind of search and/or the strategy determines the choice of the data base.

For the development of a successful search strategy additionally current and modern aids  such as classifications in book or electronic form are available.

The large collection of the intellectual property rights documents in paper and/or microfilm form can be used additionally, in particular if an older patent right from the 19. and 20. Century must be seen, which are not yet contain in data bases.

Magazines to the commercial rights, legal texts with comments and further specific literature are available than presence literature  in the search hall .
