Department of Psychiatry, Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics
The Department of Psychiatry, Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics of the Sächsisches Krankenhaus Rodewisch offers three options of care for all types of mental disorders: outpatient care, day care (25 places) and inpatient care (170 beds). Treatment for all mental disorders are provided, with a focus on:
- Affective disorders
- Anxiety disorders
- Substance Abuse disorders
- Psychotic disorders
- Personality disorders
- Mental retardation and psychiatric disorder
In cooperation with other hospitals and institutions (e.g. Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, Jena University Hospital; Department of Psychiatry and Psychiatry, Marburg University Hospital), the department participates in research on:
- MRI cortical shape analysis (cortical thickness, cortical folding) with focus on schizophrenia

Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics
The Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry of the Sächsisches Krankenhaus Rodewisch has 50 beds and 20day care places. The Department holds a considerable degree of treatment experience in the following aspects:
- Depression and Anxiety disorders
- Stress-related disorders
- Obsessive-compulsive disorders
- Eating disorders
- Disruptive behavioral disorders (attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, conduct disorder, oppositional defiant disorder)
- Developmental Disabilities
- Substance Abuse disorder
In the therapy, special consideration is given to Substance Abuse disorder.
