The work group has been founded in cooperation between members of the university hospitals in Dresden and Leipzig and the parents' associations in Dresden and Leipzig. The work group aims to improve psychosocial support of children with cancer and their families.

The work group “psychosocial research in paediatric oncology Dresden - Leipzig“ aims to improve psychosocial support of children with cancer and their families. In order to meet this goal, instruments to measure psychosocial burden are tested in terms of their psychometric properties, and structured programmes are evaluated.
