Research Statement
I follow a research approach on the basis of dynamic systems theory. This implies first, that I bring into focus the continuous processes leading to e.g. a final choice. Second, I am looking for regions of instability in the parameter space constituting human states influenced e.g. by emotions. Third, I observe the interaction between contextual factors and human behavior, e.g. in word recognition. Based on my empirical work, I aim to develop a model embracing the chaotic nature of human decision behavior.
