Research Statement
My research interest is on mechanisms underlying volitional self-control, i.e. the ability to resist temptation and inhibit impulsive responses in favor of long-term goals. In the CRC, I will use mouse movement tracking and steady-state visual evoked potentials to trace the temporal dynamics of self-control in order to dissect value modulation and attentional filtering as two sub-mechanisms mediating self-controlled choices.
