Research Statement

Prof. Roessner has substantial research and clinical experience in tic disorders and Tourette syndrome (e.g. “European clinical guidelines for Tourette syndrome and other tic disorders” in 2011), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and autism spectrum disor-ders. Next to his active research programs, he is a WP leader in the international study EMTICS (European Multicentre Tics in Children Studies), is active in the IMAGE research project (International Multi-center ADHD Gene project), and has carried out (and is currently carrying out) a number of pharmacological studies. He participates also in European Union funded FP7/ COST collaborative projects and a DFG funded project.
