Call for applications launched: 5th Boysen-TU Dresden-Research Training Group on the "Clean Industrial Deal"
The Boysen-TU Dresden-Research Training Group is entering its fifth funding phase: Under the guiding theme
"Contributions for a Clean Industrial Deal - interdisciplinary scientific contributions to the sustainable transformation of energy supply and mobility"
new scientific clusters are now being sought for the 2027 to 2030 funding phase.
The focus is on interdisciplinary research approaches that bring together technical and social perspectives and contribute to the sustainable transformation of energy supply, industry and mobility. The RTG thus ties in with current European discussions surrounding the "Clean Industrial Deal" and addresses issues relating to decarbonization, competitiveness, resilient energy systems and sustainable technologies.
We are looking for thematically consistent clusters of preferably three to four doctoral projects that are jointly supported by professors, young investigators or habilitated scientists from at least two TU Dresden departments. Doctoral scholarships with a regular funding period of three years are offered for the selected clusters.
The Boysen-TU Dresden-Research Training Group is jointly funded by the Friedrich and Elisabeth Boysen Foundation and TU Dresden and has stood for interdisciplinary cooperation and the promotion of scientists in early career phases since 2012.
Interested scientists at TU Dresden are invited to submit cluster outlines by 12.07.2026.
Two digital information events will be held to present the call for proposals and to network potential applicants:
- Friday, 29.05.2026, 14:00-15:00
- Tuesday, 29.06.2026, 11:00 12:00
