We are pleased to announce that our former doctoral student of the 3rd Boysen-TUD-Research Training Group Chunliang Zhang (photo above, centre) successfully defended her PhD thesis entitled "Experimental investigation of particle-laden flow in a pulsation reactor using a multi-sensor measurement system" on May 8, 2026.
During the defense, Chunliang Zhang presented her research on the pulsation reactor, highlighting the key findings, innovations and contributions of the thesis. The presentation included research results on the multi-sensor measurement system as well as contributions such as the residence time of particles in the pulsation reactor and the heat transfer from liquid to particles. The members of the examination board (see photo above; also Prof. Markus Kästner, not pictured) and the candidate engaged in a productive academic exchange throughout the assessment process. Following the review, the committee unanimously approved the dissertation and recommended the award of the doctoral degree (Dr.-Ing.).
The Boysen-TUD-Research Training Group warmly congratulates Chunliang Zhang on this significant academic achievement and wishes her continued success in her professional career and future research projects.
