Colloquium of Doctoral students with the Friedrich und Elisabeth Boysen-Stiftung

In this year, the third colloquium of doctoral students of the Friedrich und Elisabeth Boysen-Stiftung (engl. Friedrich and Elisabeth Boysen-Foundation) took place in Altensteig on 21 and 22 May. Seven doctoral candidates of the Boysen-TU Dresden-Graduiertenkolleg (Research Training Group) participated. After welcoming remarks by Prof. Stefanos Fasoulas, chairman of the board of the foundation, Dr. Schmidt introduced the activities of the Boysen Company. Afterwards it was the doctoral candidates presented (over the two-day meeting) the current status of their research and discussed questions and issues with the auditorium. Altogether there were 20 presentations. Besides the students of the research training group, numerous young researchers supported by the foundation were in attendance. During the evening of the 21 May a tour of the production facilities and dinner at the Hirsch Country Inn provided splendid possibilities for networking among doctoral candidates, their supervisors, members of the Boysen GmbH and the Friedrich und Elisabeth Boysen-Stiftung.
