The Research Training Group integrated into the designs for the "Project House Future"
The Free State of Saxony has held an architectural competition for the construction of the new "Project House Future", in which not only the Cluster of Excellence "Centre for Tactile Internet with Human-in-the-Loop Interaction" (CeTI) is to move into rooms, but also the Boysen-TU Dresden-Research Training Group. Space is planned for our future generations in the future-oriented building complex. The competition area is located on the central campus of the TUD Dresden University of Technology.
The jury, chaired by Professor Barbara Holzer (Holzer Kobler Architekten, Zurich), selected the winning design on February 6 and 7, 2025. behet bondzio lin architekten from Leipzig won first prize with a design based on the three guiding principles of the New European Bauhaus (NEB): Sustainability, Aesthetics and Inclusion. The design sets standards for resource-conserving construction, the design quality of the public space and the integration of the university community.

Winning design - "Project House Future"
The planned "Project House Future" is part of the "TUD 2028 - Synergy and Beyond" excellence concept and is designed as a central university building for the TUD campus. The building is intended to offer scientists and students a place on TUD's core campus where they can talk to each other across departments, advance scientific projects together and present research results. With a total area of approx. 6,000 square meters, it will become an innovative interface between science, research and teaching. It will offer a modern working environment and facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration. In addition to flexible office and research space, public presentation rooms and areas for student co-administration are also planned to make the building a lively, barrier-free meeting place for the entire campus.
The areas marked in orange on the 2nd floor of the building are intended for the Boysen-TU Dresden-Research Training Group and consist of office and meeting rooms, as can be seen in the functional diagram (see image) and the floor plan of the 2nd floor (see image).
