During one of the regular guest lectures on the 10th of October 2019, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Peter Schegner has visited Boysen-TU Dresden-Research Training Group with his talk about the main research topics at the Institute of Electrical Power Systems and High Voltage Engineering. The focus of his group and researchers at Chair of Electrical Power Systems is directed to
- the evaluation and improvement of power quality (PQ),
- management of smart grids (SG),
- protection systems (PS) for electrical transport and distribution,
- analytical computation of high current transformers and instrument transformers (TIT),
- planning and operation of distribution grids (POG).
In addition to the overview of his current work and methods, the new concept that is proposed by the team of Prof. Schegner – Loop Circle Arc Theory (LoCA) for cellular energy systems – was presented during the open discussion.
