Hydrogen Hawks - Part of the largest team at REWE Team Challenge 2023
TU Dresden participated on June 6 in the REWE Team Challenge Dresden 2023 with 720 runners and was awarded a REWE shopping voucher worth 720 euros for being the "organization with the most participants.". The Boysen-TU Dresden Research Training Group was also at the start with the Hydrogen Hawks team.
Participating in the REWE Team Challenge has become a nice tradition and a showcase of our team spirit. In 2016, the Boysen-TU Dresden Research Training Group took part for the first time. Not only the runners, but also the supporters on the sidelines or at the finish line waiting with a change of clothes are important.
The start of the TUD team was organized by the University Health Management (UGM). All TUD starters were provided with new running shirts and were able to pay a reduced participation fee. The Dresden University Sports Centre (DHSZ) and the Physiotherapeutic Teaching Centre of the UGM offered numerous running courses for optimal preparation. Since the UGM is planning to bring a "big TUD team" to the start again in 2024, the Boysen-TUD-RTG has set its sights on bringing at least one more team to the start in the long term. Who knows, maybe a few professors will also be on board for the Research Training Group next year?
