A tradition lives on
The Boysen-TU Dresden-Research Training Group also took part in the 15th REWE Team Challenge. In 7 starting waves, teams of four and some individual starters ran the 5km course from the Kulturpalast to the Rudolf Harbig Stadium Dresden every half hour from 17:00 to 20:00. With 28,500 runners, this year's REWE Team Challenge was the one with the most participants ever. TU Dresden alone was represented by 940 runners, including around 820 employees and 120 students, and, as last year, was the organization with the most participants in the REWE Team Challenge. The prize for this was a shopping voucher worth 940 euros, which will be donated to charity and was received on behalf of the Vice-Rector University Culture, Prof. Roswitha Böhm.
What did we contribute? With two mixed teams, the Proton Pacers and the Electron Dashers, we had a lot of fun and gave our best. With 83rd place, one of our teams was in the top 3% of mixed teams this time. A really nice team event, and we all agree that we will be back next year. Everyone is somehow the same in sportswear, so it's not surprising to suddenly find yourself running alongside a member of the University Executive Board and cheering each other on.
