Every year again - Christmas at the RTG
H2O- H2O- H2O - Christmas is just around the corner! Christmas has also arrived at the research hotspot at Falkenbrunnen. From the richly decorated Christmas tree, the Boysen-TU Dresden- Research Training Group wishes you a blessed and reflective Christmas season.
2025 was a remarkable and also very exciting year for the RTG. After 13 years of coordinating four generations (!) of the research group, Dr. Anna Martius left the RTG in the summer to seek new challenges in industry. We are extremely grateful for the countless wonderful memories of the motivating and inspiring collaboration with Anna, which was characterized by team spirit, and would like to take this opportunity to wish her all the best for her future career.
A big thank you also goes to the constant and sustained support of the doctoral students by speakers and PIs. Without their tireless efforts, it would be unthinkable to make progress with the doctoral research work. The departure of Anna Martius could only be compensated for to some extent through close cooperation with them.
In 2026, many members of the 4th cohort will embark on the final phase of their doctoral projects and crown their research with a dissertation. And the next generation of the RTG is already being ushered in with doctoral student Sophie Jacobs. We are eagerly awaiting further growth in the new year!
In view of these encouraging prospects, we are looking forward to 2026 and are excited to see what else it has to offer? We are very curious to find out and will keep you up to date as usual!
