- To explore the history of Dresden you should stroll through the old town (“Altstadt”), there you will find a lot of museums and the world famous “Frauenkirche”.
- For having a walk, the foot paths along the river Elbe are perfect. You could have a walk to the bridge “Blaues Wunder” and enjoy a ride with the oldest funicular in the world (“Bergbahn”) up the hills of the river Elbe to have a pretty view over the city.
- For a more demanding day of hiking you could take a short train ride to Saxon Switzerland. The national park has some of the most picturesque hiking trails in Germany.
