First Anniversary of the Perlmutter Interactive Museum in Adorf/Vogtland

The Perlmutter Interactive Museum in Adorf/Vogtland—designed and built by architects and university professors Ansgar and Benedikt Schulz (Chair of Architectural Design and Construction I)—will celebrate its first anniversary on September 24, 2026. Everyone involved has had a year filled with enthusiasm, words of praise, beaming faces, and more visitors than anticipated.

Over 20,000 guests visited the new Perlmutter Experience Museum in its first year—a significant increase compared to the approximately 3,500 visitors who used to find their way to the exhibition at the former Perlmutter and Local History Museum each year.

Since its opening, many international guests have already found their way to the museum, including neighbors from the Czech Republic as well as travelers from afar, such as Sweden, Brazil, Vietnam, and Canada. The museum has also attracted attention for its architecture. The striking design of the complex—with its extraordinary new building and historic half-timbered houses—has been featured in the national and international press as well as in architectural journals.
