KLAGG "SEASON IN BETWEEN"
Installation 1 TE RE ZÍN
"In the shaping of our world, traces of past and present uses line up one after another, sometimes without interacting with or relating to one another. Yet it is precisely this lack of contact that opens up the dimension of the in-between spaces: spaces in tension, areas without function, moments side by side, an archive without aesthetics."
The Chair of Planting Design at KLAGG demonstrates the added value that can be found precisely in these joints, niches, and gaps through three installations. Various artists interpret vegetation within them as material, motif, or atmosphere. The works are derived from the chair’s projects and research. The theme of “IN BETWEEN” examines, on various scales, which elements connect and which remain on the threshold: cities, buildings, open spaces, and vegetation are interpreted as a palimpsest—a compilation of asynchronies and thus repositories of past and future meaning.

KLAGG (Kleines Atelier Großer Garten) is an exhibition space for public art and is curated by Henning Haupt, Chair of Foundations in Art and Architecture. Through three installations, it offers various groups and individuals a platform for their artistic work. In addition to graduates and researchers in the field of plant use, an interdisciplinary team of students will also present their work. This team was formed as part of an international collaboration in the semester project “Terezín Vision: 250” and will occupy the first exhibition slot.
