UVP study award for Caroline Zein's master's thesis
With her master's thesis "The hamster's new fields. Reintroduction concept for field hamsters (Cricetus cricetus) in northern Saxony with communication approaches for Leipzig Zoo" (supervised by Prof. Catrin Schmidt), Caroline Zein won this year's EIA Society Study Award.
The prize, which will be awarded at the EIA Congress on October 9, 2025, honors graduates who have written outstanding theses or dissertations in the field of environmental planning.
In her master's thesis, Ms. Zein developed a reintroduction concept for the endangered field hamster, which is now being used in the Saxon working group for the protection of this species. In her current work at the TU Dresden's Department of Landscape Planning, Ms. Zein continues to work on species and biotope protection issues.
We congratulate her on this award!
