Administration center Kehl - 1st prize for Schulz and Schulz

Professors Ansgar and Benedikt Schulz (Chair of Architectural Design and Construction I) convinced the jury with their design for the new Kehl administration center and emerged as the winners of this realization competition. The task of the competition was to concentrate the administrative units of the Kehl city administration at the Rathausplatz site. Further objectives were to create an adequate working environment for the employees of the city administration and to improve the services offered to citizens.

The jury's written assessment states, among other things: "The work is convincing due to its precise urban setting and pleasant scale, which are perfectly designed for this location. [...] In summary, the design represents a valuable contribution to the complex task. The generous impression combined with economical volumetry is convincing.
