Fraunhofer Research Center Bonn - 3rd prize for Schulz and Schulz

Professors Ansgar and Benedikt Schulz (Chair of Architectural Design and Construction I) won 3rd prize with their design for the new Fraunhofer Research Center NG-HPDAC in Bonn.

The task of the competition was to develop a unique new research building for the Fraunhofer Institute for Algorithms and Scientific Computing and the Fraunhofer Institute for Intelligent Analysis and Information Systems to establish the Fraunhofer Center for Next Generation High Performance Data Analytics and Computing. The building to be constructed will house the newly planned activities of the two Institutes in the fields of data analysis, machine learning and AI. The core research areas will be algorithms for machine learning, quantum computing and high-performance computing.
