Marquartstein Elementary School, Daycare Center, and Multipurpose Hall — Recognition for Schulz and Schulz
Professors Ansgar and Benedikt Schulz (Chair of Architectural Design and Construction I), together with Dominik Schürmann (Schulz and Schulz Berlin) for their design of a new elementary school, a daycare center, and a multipurpose hall, as well as for the design of the public open spaces on the former railroad grounds in Marquartstein.
The competition’s objective was to strengthen the town center of Marquartstein through urban planning in the area north of City Hall by constructing a school building, a daycare center, and a multipurpose hall to serve as a hub for education and culture. The public open spaces along the former railroad right-of-way are to be upgraded and designed to offer a diverse range of activities.
