Regenerative supply concept for a geriatric clinic (existing building) in Dresden - Löbtau
The geriatric rehabilitation clinic in Dresden Löbtau offers accommodation and treatment rooms for elderly patients who need support in regaining their ability to help themselves as a result of an illness. An extension has already been added to the old building. The first floor of the building complex houses various lounges and treatment rooms, including a café, ultrasound and ECG rooms. The patient rooms are located on the upper floors. Further treatment rooms are located on the top floors (4 and 5). The geriatric clinic has an outdoor area with a park for recreation. Like many other buildings in the healthcare sector, the geriatric ward has high operating costs. A supply concept based on renewable energy is therefore to be implemented. Such a concept is to be developed as part of the thesis. The first step is to determine the special features of use (load profiles, requirements). The second step is to develop site-adapted supply concepts and to match the predicted yield of these concepts to the demand. The SIMVICUS building simulation software is to be used for this purpose, in which the ifc model of geriatrics is enriched with usage and construction data and the system concept is set up. Once the yields and requirements for electricity, heating and cooling energy have been coordinated, the final analysis should include an assessment of the economic efficiency. Recommendations for implementation, including any necessary adjustments to the supply concept, should be derived from this.
