Wolfgang Erz Award for Gina-Marie Minner
On March 11, 2026, Gina-Marie Minner was awarded the Wolfgang Erz Prize at the 38th German Nature Conservation Day in Berlin for her master's thesis "Landscape planning in the marine area? A landscape planning study of the Baltic Sea" was awarded the Wolfgang Erz Award.
The Wolfgang Erz Award recognizes outstanding and exemplary application and implementation-oriented scientific work in key areas of nature conservation.
In her Master's thesis, Ms. Minner developed a landscape planning concept for the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) of the Baltic Sea. She analyzed and evaluated the ecological status of the marine area as well as existing plans, uses and legal framework conditions. The aim of the work was to create a sound basis for sustainable spatial development and the protection of marine ecosystems.
