Project description:
The Ministry of Regional Development and Housing Baden-Württemberg is responsible for the revision of the Regional Development Plan (LEP) in Baden-Württemberg. As part of this planning process, a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) is to be carried out in accordance with § 2a of the Baden-Württemberg State Planning Act (LplG BW) in conjunction with § 8 of the Spatial Planning Act (ROG). This assessment forms an integral part of the planning procedure.
The SEA includes the involvement of relevant authorities in accordance with Section 2a (3) LplG as part of a scoping process as well as the identification, description and assessment of the potentially significant environmental impacts of the LEP. The results are documented in an environmental report, which contains all the information required in accordance with Annex 1 of the LplG, insofar as it is appropriate and necessary, taking into account the current state of knowledge, the recognized test methods and the plan.
In addition, the results of the environmental assessment in accordance with Section 8 ROG and the comments received in the participation procedure in accordance with Section 9 ROG are incorporated into the state planning consideration of the LEP. Possible planning alternatives are also taken into account.
