CO-DESIGNING TOKYO - Research and Co-design Workshop at Waseda University Tokyo

Design Proposal “Green Axis Waseda” from the co-design workshop in Tokyo
On November 22, the Knowledge Architecture Lab ran a joint research symposium with Waseda University Tokyo. Within the BMBF-funded project INTEGER, and with support of the DAAD for the Japanese partners, German and Japanese approaches to participation in urban planning were exchanged and discussed with young researchers and PhD candidates. The online workshop was co-directed by Prof. Morio Uzuki of Waseda University´s department of Sociology, and Anja Beniko Lorenz, the coordinator of the German-Japanese cooperation projects “ProUrban” and “INTEGER”. Part of the symposium was a co-design workshop with the U_CODE tool of the Knowledge Architecture Lab. With the digital 3D instrument, the participants co-designed a sustainable campus areas for Waseda University in the centre of Tokyo city.
