EVERYTHING MUST GO AND COME BACK IN - Model project of circular construction
In Erlangen, the new "Geisteswissenschaftliche Zentrum der FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg" (Humanities Center of FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg) is taking shape in the former SIEMENS headquarters, known as the "Himbeerpalast" (Raspberry Palace), designed by Prof. Ansgar Schulz and Prof. Benedikt Schulz from the Chair of Design and Construction I. The goal is to continue using the existing 50,000 m² gross floor area (BGF) with low CO² consumption and bring it up to the current state of technology.
Special attention is given to circular construction, which involves the return of building materials according to the principles of the circular economy. All components that cannot remain in the building have been cataloged and evaluated by the Concular team for the possibility of reuse in other construction projects and existing buildings. These items are now offered for sale on their online platform. So, if you still don't have a gift, you can find fire doors, lights, stainless steel handrails, and much more there...
