Prof. Benedikt Schulz (Chair of Architectural Design and Construction I) has been appointed to the Design Advisory Board of the City of Heidelberg for a further two years. He will continue his work there and will also act as an independent member for the Department of Structural Engineering in an advisory capacity in 2025 and 2026.
The city of Heidelberg has been setting positive trends in urban development for many years by holding competitions for building projects of significance to the cityscape. An Advisory Board for Architecture and Urban Design (Design Advisory Board) has been set up to further stimulate building culture and support the preservation of monuments in the city of Heidelberg. The aim is to ensure urban planning and architectural quality, to achieve a sustainable increase in the quality of planning and building culture, to increase its acceptance among the population and to prevent undesirable urban planning and architectural developments.
