U_CODE Project Meeting and Showcase @Delft
From 18th to 20th of March the U_CODE team gathered to have one of the last meetings of the project before its end in July this year. Again all partners from France, the Netherlands, UK and Germany, including our Knowledge Architecture Team, met to discuss the current state of work and generate or adjust plans for last couple of months of the project.
U_CODE is now in the final phase of technical development and all tools ranging from the mobile game, the touch table to the virtual reality tool are equipped with useful features and ready to support participation and design activities. Despite some small data exchange issues also the linkage to the U_CODE platform works thereby enabling the test of the whole process on real projects. This will be one of the major tasks for last part of the project to generate real user feedback on tools and methods and to disseminate the complete package of U_CODE innovation. In general, exploitation and dissemination of the project as well as follow up activities are major issues and plans for that have been discussed too.
As a further small step in dissemination of U_CODE we organized a showcase in the lobby of TU Delft Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering and presented all tools in a self-designed exhibition area. Dozens of visitors experienced urban design in the U_CODE way and got a feeling how future participation in urban planning projects will work. Another opportunity to experience U_CODE in full effect will be the final event which will be held in Dresden on 15th of July.
