Visit to the Institut für Holztechnologie Dresden (IHD)

On 8 October 2025, members of the Chair of Timber Engineering at TU Dresden visited the Institut für Holztechnologie Dresden. At the beginning of the visit, representatives of IHD and EPH presented their fields of work, research activities and technical facilities. Prof. Jockwer then introduced the current research projects and main areas of work of the Chair of Timber Engineering.

During an extensive tour, the participants gained insights into wood anatomy and mycology, surface technology, material development, fire testing and emission measurements. The technical centre, testing hall and conference centre were also visited.

The visit provided a valuable basis for professional exchange and further cooperation between the participating institutions.
