Dipl.-Ing. Julius Schmidt begins his work at the Institute

Dipl.-Ing. Julius Schmidt studied Civil Engineering with a specialization in “Structural Engineering” at the TUD Dresden University of Technology from 2020 to 2025. He successfully completed his studies in October 2025 with the defense of his Diploma Thesis, “Investigations on various influencing parameters on the load-bearing behaviour of connections with dowel-type fasteners”.
Through his work as a Research Assistant (SHK) at the Institute of Steel and Timber Construction, Julius Schmidt was able to gain his first experience in research and teaching. In November 2025, Mr. Julius Schmidt,  joined the team at the Chair of Timber Engineering as a Research Associate.
