STEEL CONSTRUCTION EXCURSION 2017

In the last lecture-free week before the winter semester 2017/2018, the sixth major steel construction excursion of the Institute of Steel and Timber Construction at TU Dresden took place from 04 to 06 October 2017. A total of 23 students from the 4th to 10th semesters, accompanied by Prof. Richard Stroetmann and the research assistants Lars Werner and Lukas Hüttig, were able to get to know the various facets of the production and processing of steel in companies and on construction sites. The entire diversity of the application of steel as a material was covered, from smelting to processing to assembly. A detailed report can be found on the German version of this page.
