ZÜBLIN-STAHLBAUPREIS
The "Züblin-Stahlbaupreis" which is endowed with a total of € 3,000, has been awarded annually since 2011 for student theses, project theses and dissertations by scientists from the faculties of civil engineering and architecture at the Technische Universität Dresden.
The award recognizes outstanding achievements in the design, calculation and execution of steel and composite structures as well as metal facades and roofs in structural, industrial and civil engineering. In addition, special scientific achievements that promote metal construction are taken into account. This includes developments and advancements in design and construction methods, calculation and dimensioning methods, manufacturing and assembly technologies, as well as contributions to the assessment and promotion of sustainability. Admissible are works that have been produced in the course of studies or doctoral studies at the faculties of civil engineering and architecture of the Technische Universität Dresden.
Requirements:
- Degree of innovation, efficient use of materials, architectural qualities, functional aspects, structural design, manufacturing and assembly technologies, sustainability and economic efficiency.
- Overall impression of the submitted documents and the presentation; the ten best works are nominated
- Independent jury made up of representatives of the German Steel Construction Association, Ed. Züblin AG and the Technische Universität Dresden

- Single printed copy and data carrier (CD or DVD) of the work.
