Campus Navigator
The Campus Navigator enables students, employees and visitors to the TU Dresden to orientate themselves and inform themselves at any location with the help of smartphones, tablet PCs and stationary PCs throughout the campus area.
From 2003 - 2019 the Campus Navigator was developed at the faculty of civil engineering. Since 2020, it is supervised by Department 6 - Planning and Organization.

The "Campus Navigator" project was honored with the Federal Partnership Award in 2019. The prize was presented by the Federal Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Hubertus Heil, during the Inclusion Days of the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs on 12th November in Berlin.

The Campus Navigator provides orientation and information throughout the campus area of the TU Dresden. It includes campus map display based on OpenStreetMap data, floor plan and occupancy display, information for the mobility impaired, and a high-performance routing system with location and destination input and GPS support. With the help of a comfortable search function, buildings, lecture halls and seminar rooms can be found just as quickly as toilets, changing tables and elevators. For users of the app sophisticated interactive maps and extensive images are available.
