Measurement campaign at Liščí potok

The aim of the excursion was a comprehensive measurement campaign during which a wide range of different data was collected. This data will be used for subsequent analyses to determine the extent to which beaver dams influence the water regime of the landscape and how they can contribute to mitigating the negative effects of climate change.
During the day-long field mission, the individual beaver dams in the wetland were geodetically surveyed and the inflows and outflows to and from the beaver wetland were measured on profiles where the ČVUT team continuously monitored the water levels. Using drones equipped with LIDAR and a thermal imaging camera, a digital terrain model, an orthophoto map and a series of ordinary and thermal images and videos were created.
Although - as is often the case in the field - minor technical problems could not be avoided, the mission was successful and all the planned data was collected.
