By resolution of the United Nations, May 15 has been International Family Day since 1993, which has been celebrated worldwide with various events since 1996. Against this background, the KritMed university group will start the interdisciplinary series of events "Queer Parenthood" on May 15, 2023, which will be funded from the "Equality and Diversity" incentive fund.

The TU Dresden has been certified as a family-friendly university since 2007. Re-auditing is currently being carried out by “berufundfamilie Service GmbH”. Against this background the auditor of the TU Dresden, Dr. Elisabeth Mantl would like to hold a workshop on the topic of “Strengthening the role of fathers” with fathers from all status groups at TU Dresden.

This will take place on June 7th, 2023 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Werner-Hartmann-Bau, room 205/206, Nöthnitzer Str. 66, 01187 Dresden.

In the workshop, with the help of creative methods, needs and wishes, but also current challenges relating to the compatibility of family with work or studies, especially from the father's perspective at the TU Dresden, are to be discussed and possible solutions thought up. The results of the workshop will flow into the new action program "audit family-friendly university".
