"Alte Werke. Neue Wärme." Vernissage on 25.9.2025 at the ZfBK
On 25.9.2025 at 6 pm we open the exhibition
"Alte Werke. Neue Wärme. Industrial culture and the energy transition in rural areas"
at the Center for Building Culture Saxony (ZfBK) in the Kulturpalast Dresden, Schloßstraße 2, 01067 Dresden.
The exhibition can be seen from September 25 to October 9, 2025.
We cordially invite all interested parties to visit.
The exhibition is part of the INKEWES research project (Industrial Culture, Energy, Building on Existing Buildings), which is funded by the Federal Institute for Research on Building, Urban Affairs and Spatial Development as part of the "Zukunft Bau" innovation program. The aim is to develop integrated concepts for the resource-conserving, context-related and energy-efficient revitalization of vacant or neglected industrial buildings in structurally weak regions of Saxony.
At the opening, the project partners will provide insights into the ongoing research project during a short panel discussion and the presentation of the project magazine.
Three Chairs of the Faculty of Architecture and Landscape at TU Dresden are working together on this project:
Conservation and Design (Prof. Dr. Claudia Marx, Head)
Building Physics (Prof. Dr.-Ing. John Grunewald)
Urbanism and design (Prof. Melanie Humann)
Gribs gUG supports the project as a partner for communication and knowledge transfer.
