NAMA Conference 2023 in Oldenburg
The team of the Carlowitz Junior Professorship in Sustainability Assessment and Policy attended the 2023 conference of the Scientific Commission “Sustainability Management” (“NAMA”) of the “Verband der Hochschullehrerinnen und Hochschullehrer für Betriebswirtschaft e.V.” on September 28th and 29th. This year the conference took place in Oldenburg. Jun-Prof. Dr. Samanthi Dijkstra-Silva, Dr. Ilka Weissbrod, Sabrina Schmidt, and Emma Lloyd from the junior professorship’s team participated in discussions on sustainability management, transformation, and assessment.
Sabrina Schmidt presented the current status of her research project with Lea Stöber from the University of Hohenheim and Jun.-Prof. Dr. Samanthi Dijkstra-Silva titled "A configurational approach to understanding incumbent firm behavior in sustainability transitions". The aim of the study is to analyze the factors responsible for positive and negative reactions of incumbent companies to sustainability transformations.
Emma Lloyd presented interim results of her research project with Jun.-Prof. Dr. Samanthi Dijkstra-Silva and Prof. Dr. Anna-Luisa Stöber from Macromedia University of Applied Sciences titled “Emerging Information Technologies for Sustainability in Supply Chain Management: A Systematic Review”. The study examines the opportunities and challenges of using digital technologies for sustainability in supply chains.
