Dr. Juliane Wagner receives the dissertation prize of the Commerzbank Dresden Cultural Foundation
On October 27, Dr. Juliane Wagner was awarded the dissertation prize of the Commerzbank Dresden Cultural Foundation for her dissertation "On the load-bearing behaviour of carbon concrete under fatigue stress". The award was presented by the Rector of TU Dresden, Prof. Dr. Ursula Staudinger, and Beate Sopart, representing the management of Commerzbank AG Dresden, at a ceremony in the Rectorate's ceremonial hall. The prize is endowed with 1000 euros.
With several university prizes, the Commerzbank Foundation and the Commerzbank Dresden Cultural Foundation have been making a contribution to the targeted promotion of young academics and improving the quality of teaching and research for 25 years. The aim is to create incentives that motivate academic work and innovation and thus help to prepare society for the challenges of the future. A total of two dissertation prizes and the Dr. Walter Seipp Prize from the Commerzbank Foundation were awarded at the event. The Dr. Walter Seipp Prize comes from the Commerzbank Foundation's fund of the same name, which was established in 1990 by Dr. Walter Seipp, Chairman of the Board of Managing Directors of Commerzbank from 1981 to 1991 and Chairman of the Supervisory Board until 1999.

01. The Commerzbank Foundation honors an outstanding dissertation with the Dr. Walter Seipp Prize. The prize money amounts to 4,000 euros.
