Digitalization is increasingly changing the construction industry. Innovative technologies such as Building Information Modelling (BIM), structural health monitoring, digital twins and artificial intelligence methods are being intensively researched and tested in order to optimize the planning, construction and operation of infrastructure structures.

But how can these digital technologies actually contribute to increasing efficiency? Which evaluation methods unlock the value of large, heterogeneous data sets? How can existing data be usefully supplemented with newly generated data sets? And what challenges exist when integrating new technologies into existing processes?

These and other questions will be addressed at the next mFUND network meeting under the key topic of "Digital planning, construction and operation of infrastructure structures". The event will take place on March 18 and 19, 2025 in Dresden and Bautzen and serves to actively network partners from the mFUND program as well as stakeholders from business and science.

The network meeting offers a platform for exchanging innovative ideas and discussing the future of digital construction. Interested parties are invited to find out about the latest developments and make valuable contacts.

The network meeting will take place over two days:

Day 1: Conference in Dresden
After two high-caliber keynotes, a total of 15 mFUND projects will present their ideas and results. During the breaks and at the evening event, there will be ample opportunity for personal exchange.

Day 2: Opening of the openLAB in Bautzen
Together we will travel to Bautzen to celebrate the opening of the research bridge from the IDA-KI project. A bus transfer is organized. There will also be a station run on site, where various partners from the mFUND initiative will present their digital and data-based business models.
