Women and technology? Absolutely! Trial study program for prospective female engineers
This year, TUD is once again offering trial studies for young women who are considering studying engineering. From August 4 to September 19, 2025, they can experience the campus up close and test various degree programs in the School of Engineering Sciences and School of Civil and Environmental Engineering free of charge!
Workshops, excursions and exchanges with female scientists and students will provide exciting insights into the world of engineering. A preliminary math course also makes it easier to start studying.
"Young women in particular often have doubts about whether studying engineering is right for them - usually wrongly," says Dr Sylvi Bianchin, Head of Unit Diversity Management and organizer of the trial course. "Our experience in recent years shows that we can eliminate uncertainties with the trial course and help female high school graduates to find the right course for them and get them excited about studying engineering."
All information, experience reports and registration for the tryING trial course can be found on the program page: https: //tu-dresden.de/ing/trying

The TUD currently offers 17 undergraduate engineering degree programs. With numerous offers, the university informs, motivates and supports young women in a targeted manner, who are still underrepresented in technical and scientific subjects: https: //tud.link/5px38r
