Innovative ways for sustainable mobility in the focus of the 5th Saxon-Polish Innovation Day on September 21/22, 2023 in Dresden.
On September 21 and 22, TU Dresden (TUD) will host the 5th Saxon-Polish Innovation Day, a platform for the exchange of ideas, technologies and innovations in cross-border cooperation. Under the guiding theme "Innovative Solutions for Sustainable Mobility", experts from science, business and politics from Germany and Poland will come together to further promote cooperation and present best practice examples in the field of knowledge and technology transfer.
The event is organized by the Institute of Lightweight Engineering and Polymer Technology (ILK), the School of Engineering Sciences and the International Office of TUD, Politechnika Wroclawska, the City of Wroclaw, Saxony Economic Development Agency and Saxony's Liaison Office in Wroclaw, a consortium that has been working together in a spirit of trust since the first edition of the event in 2017.
This year's guiding theme reflects the growing need to develop innovative approaches to environmentally friendly and sustainable mobility. Representatives from research and industry will intensively address questions of climate and resource-friendly mobility, its significance for Central Europe as an industrial location, and its psychological and social dimensions. The aim is to find solutions that not only offer ecological advantages but also drive forward the economic development of the regions involved.
Prof. Ronald Tetzlaff, Chief Officer Technology Transfer and Internationalization at TU Dresden, emphasizes: "With the Saxon-Polish Innovation Day, we are providing important impulses for sustainable regional growth and the development of internationally competitive solutions for the mobility of the future. The close cooperation between science, business and politics in both regions is an essential basis for our joint success and an integral part of our central internationalisation strategy. I am delighted that this excellent format is taking place in Dresden for the first time this year."
This year's Innovation Day will feature a variety of activities and events, including expert presentations, B2B and R2B talks, topic tables and networking opportunities. Participants will have the opportunity to benefit from the experience and insights of leading experts in the field of sustainable mobility. In addition, outstanding projects from the field of knowledge and technology transfer will be presented, which help to put valuable innovations into practice.
The 5th Saxon-Polish Innovation Day marks an important stage in the long-standing partnership between Saxony and Poland in the field of research and innovation. The event offers a unique opportunity to strengthen the interaction of science and business across national borders and to set forward-looking impulses for sustainable mobility.
We cordially invite you to be part of it! Interested parties can register and view the detailed program on the official website of the Saxon-Polish Innovation Day. The event promises inspiring insights, fruitful discussions and new cooperation opportunities in the spirit of environmentally conscious and sustainable mobility.
