Premiere: Campus Culture Festival on June 25th - Save the Date!
Culture and art on the central campus connect the university and urban society
Anyone who only thinks of lectures and research at the Technischen Universität Dresden (TUD) will be surprised by the artistic and cultural potential of the university members. The TUD is showing this treasure for the first time at the Campus Culture Festival on June 25th, 2022 from 3 p.m. to midnight.
On this day, the campus offers a varied program of music, theatre, dance, film, workshops, art, and culinary delights. All citizens of Dresden, young and old, are invited to spend this summer day on campus with students and employees of TUD and to get to know the artistic side of the university.
Venues of the Campus Culture Festival are the in-house gallery of the TUD Custody, Weberplatz, where the drama ensemble "Die Bühne" is based, August-Bebel-Straße, where the student cinema "Kino im Kasten" is based, the biology - Building and the Saxon State Library - State and University Library (SLUB). A total of ten artistic university groups from the TUD will demonstrate their creativity at these locations.
On the outdoor stages, musical diversity is offered from rock to jazz to classical music. Dance shows, theater, and film performances are also held here. You can become active yourself in dance, acting, and film workshops. As a place of art and culture, the campus can be experienced during guided tours through the gallery of the TUD Custody and the SLUB as well as during a walking act that leads from the Görges-Bau building to the biology building. There is also culinary diversity in the best sense of the word: the association of Dresden student clubs, Lohrmanns Brew and various food trucks will take care of your physical well-being at the different locations. And best of all: Admission is free. Due to space restrictions, registration is only necessary for some workshops.
