Prof. Benedikt Schulz speaks at the DNV Parliamentary Evening
On April 21, 2026, Professor Benedikt Schulz (Chair of Architectural Design and Construction I) will be a guest at the DNV German Natural Stone Association's Parliamentary Evening in Berlin and will give a keynote speech on the topic of "Natural stone as a mass building material".
The motto of this year's DNV event is TRADITION - INNOVATION - NATURAL STONE. Building material for sustainable and recyclable construction concepts. The potential of natural stone for future-oriented construction will be examined on this evening, including the following points:
How can an open-technology building offensive be designed that takes into account regional natural stone with low transportation emissions in a way that optimizes its properties?
What role can the public sector play as a pioneer in pilot projects?
How can funding instruments - for example via existing programs - provide greater support for climate-friendly construction methods in research and practice?
