StadtWandel Dresden - Wandering Forum: Shaping education for; sustainability together
How can education contribute to making cities and neighborhoods vibrant, livable spaces? And what forms of education do we need to strengthen people for the future so that they can take responsibility, help shape society and initiate change?
Discover projects and initiatives that are rethinking education. Meet people who have a vision for the education of the future - whether from schools, universities, associations, cities or businesses. Because education is diverse, lively and everywhere where people learn and create together.
With the StadtWandel Dresden event series, we invite you to visit exciting places and inspiring educational projects in Dresden. Every month, we visit a new location - with space for exchange, questions, discussions and networking.
Come along, be inspired and become part of the change.
The series is cooperatively organized by the Green Office of TU Dresden, HTW Dresden, Volkshochschule Dresden and Verbraucherzentrale Sachsen.

The Dear Future - Dresden Sustainability Festival 2026 is dedicated to the topic of "decolonization". It will address the question of how historical inequalities still influence global developments today and how they shape ideas of a fairer and more sustainable future.
Together with many different cooperation and program partners, speakers and participants, a common space will be created for listening, reflecting, learning, exchanging and becoming active. In two different periods - June 4 (conference) and September 14-26 (festival weeks) - free formats such as panel discussions, poetry slams, theater and other workshops, film (discussions) and much more will be offered. We welcome everyone who would like to be part of the festival and thus part of a learning community.

We want to make a contribution to the sustainable development of our cities and strengthen the resilience of the city of Dresden to climate change. To this end, architecture students are developing urban cooling islands, which will then be implemented on a 1:1 scale and set up in Dresden's cityscape. On Tuesday, 16.06.2026, from 13:30 - 14:30, students from the Chair of Architectural Design and Construction II will present the design status. Interested parties are invited to discuss the challenges of developing and implementing micro-architectural solutions for cold rooms in the cityscape.
